Specialist Assistance Dogs

UK Elite Assistance Dogs was established to address a critical need in the UK assistance dog industry. With thousands of people on multi-year waiting lists for assistance dogs, there is a clear demand for a professional, structured, and efficient approach to training and placement. Unlike traditional charity-based organisations that rely on funding and donations, UK Elite Assistance Dogs operates as a self-sustaining business, ensuring a faster, high-quality service without lengthy delays. Founded in Wigan, Greater Manchester, the business was created to provide expertly trained assistance dogs that transform the lives of individuals with disabilities. Recognising the significant shortage of skilled trainers in the industry, UK Elite Assistance Dogs offers a reliable, high-standard alternative that prioritises both the welfare of the dogs and the success of each handler partnership. The organisation is fully covered by public liability insurance and is staffed by fully licensed specialist dog trainers, ensuring the highest level of professionalism, safety, and expertise in every aspect of training and support.

Customer Testimonials

I honestly can’t thank Lee enough for what he’s done for Fin and Emma. From the start he’s just been really easy to work with, really patient, and you can tell he genuinely cares. He’s taken the time to get to know Fin and Emma properly, and the difference in Emma already is amazing. She’s becoming so calm and well behaved, and that’s all down to the time and effort he puts in. He’s also been a big support to us as a family, not just with the training. Nothing ever feels like too much and he always explains things in a way that just makes sense. We feel really lucky to have him and I’d definitely recommend him.

I cannot thank Lee enough for the dedication, commitment and support shown throughout the journey of finding the perfect Golden Retriever and then training and developing him into my assistance dog. Without Mr Edwards’ guidance, encouragement, and expertise, I would not have been fortunate enough to experience the positive transformation that has taken place in my life. My assistance dog has brought comfort, companionship, confidence, and a renewed sense of purpose. He has truly become a light in my life, helping me navigate daily challenges and improving my overall wellbeing in ways that are difficult to fully express. I no longer feel alone and instead feel supported in every aspect of my daily life. My overall quality of life has improved significantly. I will always be deeply grateful for the invaluable role that Lee has played in making all of  this possible and his ongoing support.

Since having peanut, life has been alot better in many ways.  My mental health has significantly become easier to manage as she helps with many tasks I wouldnt be able to do without her. She has been a fantastic support when I go to the shops and puts me more at ease where as before I would suffer from freezing up or not go at all alone. At home when I have breakdowns or other negative emotions she is right by my side and calms me down with love and her presence, trying to get me to pet her as a distraction or simply being close by my side. Peanut is such a joy to have as a companion and support who i wouldnt dream of living without. Eddie has been such a help throughout to process of having Peanut and I cannot thank him enough for the life saving dog that is now in my life.
